Privacy Policy

1. What data SitLess stores

SitLess stores the following data locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your browser and is never sent to any server:

• Timer state — current session time, sitting minutes, last session start timestamp.
• Settings — reminder interval, break duration, work hours configuration, language preference, meme mode toggle.
• Stats & streaks — daily break count, streak count, weekly sitting history (7 days max), achievement flags.

All of this data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling the extension permanently deletes it.

2. Webcam & camera access

If you enable the Webcam Detection feature, SitLess requests access to your camera. Here is exactly what happens:

• The video stream is processed locally inside an offscreen document using MediaPipe Face Landmarker.
• No video frames, images, or biometric data are ever recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
• The camera is used solely to detect whether you are present at your desk (motion detection). It cannot identify you or anyone else.
• The camera turns off automatically when your computer goes idle or when you disable the feature in Settings.

You can disable webcam detection at any time in the extension's Settings tab. The extension works fully without camera access.

3. No analytics or tracking

SitLess contains:

• No analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar).
• No crash reporting or telemetry.
• No advertising or third-party tracking pixels.
• No network requests of any kind from the extension itself.

4. Third-party services

This website links to Ko-fi for optional donations. Clicking that link takes you to Ko-fi's website, which has its own privacy policy. SitLess does not share any data with Ko-fi.

This website uses Google Fonts (Inter) loaded from Google's CDN. This may result in a connection to Google's servers when you visit this page, subject to Google's privacy policy.

5. Children's privacy

SitLess is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

6. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
